The kinetic installation at Changi Airport made of 504 clocks

Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 now features a kinetic installation comprised of 504 clocks arranged in a 36×14 grid. Some 1008 clock hands turn via their own individual motors, giving the sculpture the impressive ability to display a range of different animated patterns, as well as the current time and greetings in a number of different languages at different times of the day.

Built by Stockholm-based artist collective Humans Since 1982, the ‘A Million Times’ project took 4 years to develop, weighs 1000kg and displays a 7.5m clock face wider than that of London’s Big Ben.
