Panasonic’s Game Changer Catapult division is the company’s ideas and innovation branch, and they recently showed off a concept they’re dubbing “Armoation: a new aroma and music experience.”
To demonstrate it at SXSW, they used a touch table with a scent diffuser in the centre. Users were first asked to indicate their current mood by dragging markers around the touch table, and the diffuser would release a scent matched to your mood. The device can learn your habits by plugging into Google Calendar, as well as sync with your music and choose a scent most suitable for the room associated with it.
Tom’s Guide has a great video showing it in action: https://www.tomsguide.com/us/panasonic-aromation-smart-home-scents,news-26752.html
